Boerne Performing Arts Brings World-class Shows to Texas Hill Country
For the past 11 years, Boerne Performing Arts has been bringing big arts events to this small Texas town – just 15 minutes southeast of our historic Hotel Giles. Each season's lineup of spectacular performances delights and captivates audiences and features the best in live music and dance. Get your tickets early because when these world-renowned artists come to Boerne, they perform to sold-out crowds.
Boerne Performing Arts is a volunteer-driven organization that launched its inaugural season in 2012 with the angelic-voiced Vienna Boys Choir. There wasn't an empty seat in the nearly 1,000-seat Champion Auditorium. In the years following that successful event, a series of new acts and returning favorites have taken the stage. The performances fulfill the mission of bringing culture and diversity through world-class performing arts to the Texas Hill Country.
The upcoming 2023 season will continue this undertaking with amazing performances by The Four Phantoms, the Royal National Ballet of Georgia, and the Peking Acrobats. On January 26, The Four Phantoms in Concert will feature a phenomenal quartet of singers, each one having starred in the lead role of the Tony Award-winning musical, "The Phantom of the Opera." The concert celebrates a legacy of iconic music from Broadway and beyond in an unforgettable night of entertainment.
Direct from Tbilisi, Georgia, the Royal National Ballet takes the stage on February 24 debuting its new program, "Fire of Georgia." This dance troupe performs traditional Georgian folk dances with a modern spirit, showcasing both the grace and the athleticism of these classically trained dancers. Audiences will be dazzled by the stunning choreography and exquisite costumes of this visually thrilling show straight from the Caucasus region of Asia.
The final show of the Boerne Performing Arts 2023 season will hit the stage on March 24. The Peking Acrobats, joined by members of the Shanghai Circus, will defy gravity with their breathtaking gymnastics, precision tumbling, and trick cycling. Watch in awe as these Chinese acrobats showcase their amazing flexibility and strength with jaw-dropping displays of contortion and incredible balancing feats.
Make dinner plans before any one of these shows for a great date night. In Boerne, we suggest upscale dining at the The Creek Restaurant or Cypress Grille – or opt for something more casual at The Dodging Duck Brewhaus. After the show, return to your restful retreat at the historic Hotel Giles. A fabulous show, a delicious dinner and a romantic getaway... what a great way to spend a weekend in the Hill Country!
