Diva Day – November 8, 2025
Grab your shopping bags (and maybe your girlfriends) and join us for Diva Day, a festive day of shopping and celebration in downtown Comfort from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Hosted by the Comfort Merchant Association, this popular event brings together boutique lovers, antique hunters, and those who love all things festive for a full day of fun.
Pick up your Diva Day shopping card at any participating shop, then collect stamps as you browse Comfort’s unique stores and local eateries. When your card is full, turn it in for a chance to win one of several gorgeous gift baskets filled with goodies from Comfort’s merchants — prizes that are worth the effort! Along the way, you’ll find shops offering tasty treats, festive drinks, and plenty of gift inspiration for everyone on your list.
With the streets dressed up in their holiday best, Diva Day is the perfect way to dive into the season — and maybe find something sparkly for yourself, too.
Girls Night Out – November 11, 2025
Just a few days later, the celebration continues with Girls Night Out from 4 to 9 p.m. for an evening of shopping, sipping, and good cheer. Downtown boutiques keep their doors open late, serving up special discounts, cocktails, and snacks as shoppers browse the latest arrivals and holiday treasures. You can shop for gifts, listen to live music, and unwind with friends — all under the glow of holiday lights.
One can’t-miss stop is Freethinker’s General Store, which will host a live performance by Texas singer-songwriter Susan Gibson, best known for writing “Wide Open Spaces.” It’s an evening that captures everything we love about the holidays in Comfort: music, laughter, community, and good company.
Christmas in Comfort – November 29, 2025
And then comes the grand celebration — Christmas in Comfort. On the Saturday after Thanksgiving, our historic downtown transforms into one of the Texas Hill Country’s most magical holiday destinations. The day kicks off with holiday shopping at over 130 arts, crafts, and food vendors along High and Seventh Streets. You’ll find everything from handcrafted gifts, ornaments, and jewelry to unique home décor, antiques, and tasty treats. Comfort’s own boutiques and antique shops open their doors as well, offering locally made treasures and one-of-a-kind gifts. This is the perfect chance to cross a few names off your Christmas list while supporting small-town businesses.
Live entertainment fills the streets throughout the day. Two main stages showcase local musicians, bands, and performers, mixing holiday classics with popular favorites. Strolling performers, including magicians and street entertainers, add a playful, interactive element that delights children and adults alike. There’s even a special area where kids can meet Santa Claus, take photos, and share their Christmas wishes.
As evening falls, everyone gathers on High Street for the grand Christmas tree lighting, a moment that officially kicks off the night’s festivities. At 7 p.m., the Lighted Night Parade begins, featuring more than 150 floats decorated with dazzling lights. Santa Claus and his team close the parade in a grand entrance, spreading festive magic through the streets. The night ends with a spectacular fireworks display that lights up the sky above Comfort with bursts of color and delight — a perfect end to a day of holiday fun.
